Voci Speech-to-Text engine is available on Eden AI

We are pleased to announce that Voci's Speech-to-Text API technology has been integrated into Eden AI API.

What is Voci?

Voci Technologies Inc, a subsidiary of the Medallia group, is a company that specializes in speech-to-text transcription and voice analytics solutions. The company provides advanced software and technology that can convert spoken language into written text with high accuracy.

Voci's analysis features aim to enhance accuracy and usability in their speech-to-text technology. With Speaker Separation (Diarization), customer and agent voices are automatically separated, enabling independent analysis and deeper insights. The Emotional Intelligence feature combines acoustic emotion and sentiment scores to accurately determine the overall sentiment of conversations, whether it's positive, negative, or neutral. Additional features include Age ID for estimating speaker age, and Call Analysis metrics for valuable insights on call quality and performance, including words spoken, speaker turns, speech time, and substitutions. These features empower businesses to gain meaningful insights from conversations and optimize their performance.

Why do we offer Voci in addition to other ARS APIs?

Eden AI offers Voci Speech-to-Text solutions on its platform amongst several other technologies. We want our users to have access to multiple AI engines and manage them in one place so they can reach high performance, optimize cost and cover all their needs.

There are many reasons for using multiple AI APIs : ‍

Fallback provider is the ABCs.

You need to set up an AI API that is requested if and only if the main AI API does not perform well (or is down). You can use the confidence score returned or other methods to check provider accuracy.

Performance optimization.

After the testing phase, you will be able to build a mapping of AI vendors' performance that depends on the criteria that you chose. Each data that you need to process will be then sent to the best API.

Cost - Performance ratio optimization.

This method allows you to choose the cheapest provider that performs well for your data. Let's imagine that you choose Google Cloud API for customer "A" because they all perform well and this is the cheapest. You will then choose Microsoft Azure for customer "B", a more expensive API but Google performances are not satisfying for customer "B". (this is a random example)

Combine multiple AI APIs.

This approach is required if you look for extremely high accuracy. The combination leads to higher costs but allows your AI service to be safe and accurate because AI APIs will validate and invalidate each other for each piece of data.

Can you introduce Voci?

Voci was founded in 2011 and was the first enterprise-grade speech recognition engine to be optimized for GPUs (Graphical Processing Units) to transcribe audio in real-time.

What does Voci provide to customers (APIs, Saas, languages, open source, etc.)?

Voci’s speech recognition engine (ASR) performed so well, and so fast, that Voci found multiple use cases beyond real-time conversational transcription like post-call audio in contact centers to power and democratize speech analytics solutions. Voci reduced the computation footprint by 40 times over traditional ASR technologies and has consistently improved its accuracy for the last 11 years to be the most metadata-rich speech-to-text platform for contact centers.
