Overview
OpenAI Codex is an AI coding agent designed to help developers build, refactor, test, and deploy software faster. Built on ChatGPT, it can handle end-to-end engineering tasks such as implementing features, reviewing code, generating tests, managing migrations, and working across multiple development environments. Integrating OpenAI Codex with Eden AI removes the default limitation of running Codex only with OpenAI models. By using Eden AI as an AI Gateway, developers can connect Codex to more than 500 models from 50+ providers through a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint. How it works
The setup is simple: developers create an Eden AI API key, update the Codex base URL, add the Eden AI key, and select the model they want to use. Once configured, Codex keeps working with the same workflow, but Eden AI routes the requests to the chosen model behind the scenes.
