Thiink is a software and AI consulting firm that helps businesses replace manual, data-heavy operations with scalable intelligent automation.

The Challenge
Transport orders don't follow rules. They arrive in hundreds of different layouts - inconsistent field positions, freeform text, varying document structures - making automated extraction at scale nearly impossible without a reliable intelligence layer.
Thiink set out to build an AI-driven order ingestion system for logistics clients. While OCR could digitize incoming documents, the real challenge was what came next: intelligently pulling structured data - delivery addresses, shipment dates, cargo details - out of unpredictable, unstructured formats and routing it cleanly into downstream workflows.
Add strict GDPR obligations for European logistics clients, and the requirements became even tighter. All data processing had to remain within European borders - no exceptions.
Previously, the team ran self-hosted servers to handle open-source models. The overhead was significant: infrastructure maintenance, computing costs, and a tangle of separate API integrations to manage. It was complex, slow to scale, and consumed development bandwidth that belonged on the product itself.

The Solution
Thiink embedded Eden AI's OCR and Document Parsing APIs at the core of their order ingestion pipeline.
Incoming logistics documents are digitized via OCR, then passed through Document Parsing to extract structured fields - addresses, dates, shipment details - ready for immediate use in downstream systems.
To meet GDPR requirements without compromise, all processing routes exclusively through Eden AI's EU endpoint, keeping every request within European and German infrastructure. Through a single unified API, Thiink dynamically selects the best-performing models from leading providers - combining extraction accuracy with absolute data sovereignty. One integration.
